About The Way Intensive

“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.” – John 15:12-15, ESV

Most believers have some concept of spiritual adoption, being a child of God (Ro. 8:15; Ga. 4:6). With church involvement, service to others, and ongoing worship they also get a elemental grasp of the believer’s priesthood (1 Pe. 2:5-9). Finally, because of saturation over the last few decades, many have a basic idea of spiritual warfare (2 Co. 10:3-5; Eph. 6:12; Ti. 2:3-4). Virtually no one, however, has spent any significant time pondering divine friendship; yet on the last night of His earthly ministry Jesus forever changed our relationship with God by saying, “I no longer call you servants… I have called you friends.” (Jn. 15:15) In one conversation Jesus forever REDEFINED how His disciples then and throughout time would relate to God!

Like our other events at FTS, which center on a particular biblical truth or revelation (Quest for Men:  manhood; Quest for Women: womanhood; Fire & Radiance: priesthood, etc.), The Way is also a paradigm ministry experience, centering on our friendship with God, and it is nothing short of life-changing. READ MORE
